Welcome to the new and improved MSBL.us, powered by TeamSnap!  After 6 years on SportsSignUp Play, we felt it was time for an upgrade.  SportsSignUp did the job for the most part, but its parent company is in the process of sunsetting it in favor of their current platform Sports Engine. Given that we had to make a change anyway, we evaluated league management platforms in the market and ultimately decided on TeamSnap.

Benefits:

With TeamSnap, MSBL has created this new website (FANCY!), and we now have greater flexibility in managing aspects of our programs.  We’ll be able to refine age ranges, handle uniform ordering via registration, and more.

The greatest benefits of this change will be for our parents and coaches with the TeamSnap app!  The app will allow parents to more clearly see practice & game schedules, RSVP for availability,  subscribe to team calendars and know when it’s your turn to run the snack shack.  Coaches will be able to clearly see player availability, assign duties (snack shack, field prep, etc.), set arrive-times and more.

Changes:

The TeamSnap platform introduces some changes we want to highlight:

  1. Registration links will be different for the program and the role.  It’ll be important that you click the correct link on our Registration page.
  2. We’ll be able to issue refunds to credit cards but not to bank accounts (when you pay via ACH), therefore we are asking parents to provide your Venmo user name, which we’ll use to issue refunds in those cases.
  3. If you had an outstanding balance, we’ve reached out to you for payment.  Your balance will need to be paid for your Spring registration to be honored.

We hope you enjoy this new experience and find it intuitive and easy to use. We especially encourage you to download the mobile app now for your iPhone or Android device. The app is very highly rated and will make communication and access to information very easy throughout the season.
