Mountainside Softball Camp

Camp Director: Coach Chris Eckert

  • Coach Eckert attended Rutgers University and studied Exercise Science & Sports Management. He is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Sports Trainer. He is currently a Health and Phys. Ed. teacher at Governor Livingston and  Director of Athletic Performance at PEAK Sports Academy.

Other Camp Coaches:

  • Coach Worswick attended Montclair University where he majored in Physical Education and Health.  He is certified First Aid/CPR/AED. He has coached for Deerfield
    athletics and various youth softball teams in town.
  • Other staff include a former D1 softball player and hitting coach, former D3 Kean Catcher and current Governor Livingston Varsity softball players.

Camp Agenda:
The primary objective of the camp is to teach all of the fundamental skills necessary to improve as a softball player in a fun-filled environment.

The Daily Schedule will include:

  • proper stretching techniques
  • fundamental drill stations
  • gameplay
  • individual competition and drills
  • contests
  • special game situations
  • guest high school players

Tuition:

  • $200 ($150 for each additional sibling)
